Coopers Stadium to Host Standalone International Women’s Day Ninja A-League Fixture

Posted 24 February 2026

Adelaide United will celebrate International Women’s Day with a special standalone Ninja A-League fixture at Coopers Stadium, hosting Perth Glory under lights on Friday, March 13.

The upcoming match marks the second consecutive year Adelaide United has staged a dedicated International Women’s Day event at Coopers Stadium, following last season’s clash against Brisbane Roar.

Proudly sponsored by Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) – operators of Coopers Stadium – the fixture will again be delivered as a celebration of women’s football and an opportunity to unite the South Australian football community at the home of football in our state.

As part of the festivities, Adelaide United will offer tickets to Football South Australia clubs, encouraging players, families and officials across the state to pack Coopers Stadium and be part of a memorable night.

Adelaide United Chief Executive Officer, Nathan Kosmina, said the standalone occasion reflects the Club’s continued commitment to growing the women’s game and delivering marquee experiences for members and fans.

“On the back of a great season to date, we’re excited that this venue change offers members, fans and the broader football family a unique opportunity to enjoy a memorable game at Coopers Stadium,” Kosmina said.

“Presenting the match as a standalone event at the home of South Australian football, highlights our ongoing investment in our Women’s program, as we push towards a place in the Finals Series for a second successful season.”

Kosmina also thanked AVM for its ongoing support in helping bring the event to life.

“We’re incredibly grateful to AVM for their outstanding support of this match and our Club. Their commitment helps us create meaningful events that celebrate the women’s game and connect with the wider football community,” he said.

Martin Radcliffe, Chief Executive Officer – Adelaide Venue Management adds, “We’re proud to once again sponsor Adelaide United’s International Women’s Day fixture, which provides the perfect occasion for our community to come together and celebrate women’s football. We encourage fans to join us at Coopers Stadium as we get behind our women’s team, who are doing brilliantly this season.”
